WHAT
WE DO

Creating an animal sanctuary and rescue in under developed countries, is quite different that in the USA

PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.

We try to work with what the area's location can supply to us to build an animal rescue and sanctuary.

To begin, the kennels need to be of cement blocks, cement floor, tin roof and a palapas overhead to keep the air flowing, the rain out and cover the kennels with mosquito netting.  Each kennel needs to be cleaned out daily, sprayed with well water and sanitized.  Raised beds to keep off the ground and create air flow.

Build one or more cement buildings with cement floors and roof, large enough to hold a few kennels inside for quarantine, vet treatments, giving medications, puppies to stay in to keep predators away, etc.  This building will also be used for housing when a hurricane or tropical storm comes through.  It will have a place for a night guard to reside in.

Secured Fencing around the property to prevent animals from getting out and any from getting in. Often times these rescue shelters are in the jungle, which creates a large number of various wild animals, including snakes, from entering.  Making areas for play, running, training, bathing, with walls for separation.  Many times these can be stacking stones to separate them. Shelters outdoors where they can lay around and stay cool.  Water pools to cool off, soft places to lay too.

Secured places for food and bottled waters, medications and treatments. This includes a refrigerator, sinks, locked cabinets, locked entrances.  Storing bowls, leashes, harnesses, transport kennels, etc.

To accomplish the above, besides the obvious purchases, many times donations of supplies can be received from the local business, they don't need to be in perfect condition, but no longer saleable, and we can make it work.  We need people with skills, knowledge, strong individuals to work together to make it happen.

Setting up food and water delivery.  Tinaca for non potable water, well drilled with submersible water power to clean, bathe, cool off pools.  High powered spray wands to clean kennels, windmills to generate electricity that will be free.  Plumbing supplies to sinks, kennels, bathroom, etc.  Staff to work at the kennels, guard at night, train the dogs including house breaking, service animals, barking situations, work with animals that need special care, fundraisers and event planning to raise awareness and donations.

Access The Needs

Visit the property and determine their needs to become fully functional as a rescue location.  This includes items that are needed, what it will take to build, appropriate space, locations network of skilled professionals and formulate a plan to make it happen.

Gather Local Donations

Contact local building supply companies, stores, set up volunteers, workers and other aspects to get the job done

Find Skilled Professionals

Determine if there are people in the location capable of completing the work on the rescue, such as plumbers, cement workers, electricians, fencing specialists, etc and if not, we will need to hire out of area and bring in so they can stay in town until the work is finished.

Setup Fundraising

Build a facebook page, website, fundraising events, QR Codes, network with other shelters and rescues to create donations that will help the on a regular basis

Working With What Is Available

Many locations won't be able to provide services, supplies or other aspects to make the shelters others have.  So, we will need to make shelters out of wood, install a water supply, purchase generators where wind is an issue and a windmill cannot be utilized, etc

Complete & Move Onto The Next Shelter

Once the property has everything in place to become fully functional, work is underway or completed, fundraising is in motion and the facility should be able to move forward with the work they started but in a much better way, we will move onto the next rescue shelter to begin helping them, if they need us to attend to something, they can reach out to us for help
